PARTICIPATION

CampCamp is an annual international barcamp focused on campaigning and communications for civil society activists. Over four days of lectures, discussions, creative experiments and workshops, activists and professionals in marketing, advertising and media will explore practical ways to make the world a better place.

The CampCamp 2019 open call for applications is now closed. Residents of Moldova can still apply until September 23.

A message for those who have already applied:

Dear friends,

Due to a technical error, your email addresses were not collected automatically when you applied. We will contact successful applicants via the social media profile you linked to in your application by September 24. Please check your personal messages on Facebook, Instagram or VK. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to contact those who haven’t been selected. We sincerely apologise for this.

WHY COME TO CAMPCAMP?

To improve your communication skills

To find fresh ideas for public campaigns

To learn about new formats, trends and tools for civil society communications

To discuss your campaigning experience with colleagues from other cities and countries

To find experts to contribute to your projects

To get advice from first-class experts

To get recharged with inspiration and courage

WHO CAN COME?

  1. Civil society activists from the countries marked on the map below who have experience in public campaigning. The CampCamp program is intended for those who have already taken the first steps, seen some set-backs and victories, and want to continue to grow.

  2. Advertising, marketing and communications specialists who have experience with non-profit projects and would like to evolve in this field.

  3. Artists, illustrators, directors, animators and other creative professionals who are interested in collaborating with non-profit organisations.

  4. International organisations interested in the region and in civil society communications.

WHAT DOES CAMPCAMP LOOK LIKE?

A rich program of lectures, workshops, discussions, film viewings, and creative competitions takes place across four locations in our host city. Three of the venues have programs in Russian, and one has a program in English. The number of participants is 200-300.

CAN I GET FINANCIAL SUPPORT?

We offer travel grants for a limited number of participants (no more than a quarter of all participants). The grants cover plane, bus, or train tickets to the CampCamp location. The
number of applications for CampCamp grows each year, as does the demand for grants, making the selection process highly competitive.

We ask that only those facing financial difficulties apply for grants. We also suggest approaching the donors you already work with to ask for support. If you are selected as a participant, we can give you a reference letter for your donor organisations.

HOW TO TAKE PART

Participation is free of charge for qualified applicants. Fill in the application form, and after reviewing
your experience and motivation, the organisers will notify you if you have been selected.

“Insanely interesting session from Greenpeace about bloggers and Youtubers. Let’s
cooperate with these guys while it’s trendy in order to draw attention to our agenda.
Greenpeace is awesome!”
